  • The client teaches 8th grade English at a local middle school. The client came to JDH with the desire to create an application that would allow her students to chose which books the class would read for spring break. JDH designed and coded a React-based Google Books Search app. In addition to searching for books, the students are able to save books they like or delete books they prefer not to read.

  • The major challenge faced in this project was having to adhere to a specific set of technologies. In response, JDH delivered an application that runs in the browser, features dynamically updated HTML and CSS, is powered by JSX code, utilizes the React library. In addition, Node, Express and MongoDB are used so that users can save books to review or purchase later.
